Mehrnaz Mohammadi is an Iranian writer and performer based in Los Angeles.

Her one-woman show Ms. Rebel won Best New York Premiere at United Solo and was a Second Rounder at the Austin Film Festival. Her pilot Burned Secrets was a Quarter-Finalist at Slamdance and a Semifinalist at the Austin Film Festival. A finalist for Sundance Collab's Cultural Impact Residency.

Her short film Chai was a Semi-Finalist at the Los Angeles Film Awards, a Nominee at the Swedish International Film Festival, and an Official Selection at D.I.Y. Film Fest + Emotional Freedom Lab.

Trained as an actor a BFA in Theatre Performance from Concordia University and an MFA in Acting from USC, where she was a recipient of the International Artist Fellowship. She spent years on stage and screen, including From Scratch (Netflix) and Quantum Leap (NBC), before turning her focus to writing.
